that looks like a soragoi. or does it have a metallic appearance to it that is not discernible in the pic?

So do you mean, that the netting that it has makes it not Nezu? Otherwise it's grey.iridescent
Your koi in the photo does not appear to be metallic so not a ogon. Ogons can have netting or not. Metallic koi have a abundance of guanine in their scales, skin, and fins that make them look iridescent. Many other koi can have a hint of metallic here and there but that doesn't make them a metallic koi. Here is a photo of a yellow ogon where you can better see the metallic effect. Also to my knowledge no one breeds these earlier less refined nezu types of ogons any longer.
